Need to return or exchange an item? Here’s everything you need to know about return windows, refunds and how to send your order back.

What is FBS's return policy?

You can return unworn, unused and unwashed items with all original tags attached within 30 days of receiving your order. Items should be returned in their original condition and, where possible, in the original packaging.

Before sending anything back, please contact us and submit a return request. Once your request has been reviewed, we’ll send you the next steps and, where applicable, a return label and return form.

Personalised shirts, including shirts with custom name and number prints, cannot be returned unless they are defective, damaged or incorrectly delivered. Gift vouchers are also excluded from returns.

For standard returns, return shipping costs are paid by the customer and may be deducted from the refund. If your item is defective, damaged or incorrectly delivered, we’ll cover the return shipping costs within the EU/EEA.

Once your return has arrived and been inspected, your refund will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. For returns from outside the EU/EEA, return shipping, customs duties, taxes and fees are non-refundable.

How do I return or exchange my order?

To return or exchange your order, please contact us first and submit a return request. Include your order number, your full name, the item you want to return or exchange, and the reason for your request.

Once we’ve reviewed your request, we’ll send you the next steps by email. Where applicable, you’ll receive a return label and return form. Please include the return form in your parcel and send the item back in its original condition — unworn, unused, unwashed and with all original tags attached.

For standard returns or exchanges, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs, which may be deducted from the refund. If your item is defective, damaged or incorrectly delivered, we’ll cover the return shipping costs within the EU/EEA.

Personalised shirts, including shirts with custom name and number prints, cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are defective, damaged or incorrectly delivered. Once your return has arrived and been inspected, we’ll process your refund to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Where is my refund?

Once your return has arrived at our warehouse, we’ll inspect the item to make sure it meets our return conditions. This usually means the item must be unworn, unused, unwashed and have all original tags attached.

After your return has been checked and approved, we’ll issue your refund to the original payment method within 10 business days. You’ll receive an email once the refund has been processed.

Depending on your bank, card provider or payment method, it may take a few additional days for the money to appear in your account. If your return has already been delivered to us and you haven’t received an update after 10 business days, please contact us with your order number.

Can I return personalised shirts?

Personalised shirts, including shirts with custom name and number prints, cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are defective, damaged or incorrectly delivered.

The reason is simple: once a shirt has been printed, the name set and the shirt can no longer be separated without affecting the item. We also can’t know when, or if, we would be able to sell that exact shirt with that exact print again.

That’s why we print each personalised shirt only after your order is placed and do not pre-print personalised shirts in advance. This helps us keep our stock flexible and avoid unnecessary waste.

What are FBS's shipping options?

FBS ships worldwide. The shipping options, costs and delivery times available for your order depend on your delivery country and will be shown clearly at checkout before you pay.

Orders are usually processed within 2 working days and handed over to the shipping provider. Once your order leaves our warehouse, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link.

For Germany, standard shipping starts from €4.90 and is free for orders over €100. For most EU countries, standard international shipping starts from €9.90 and is free for orders over €200. Different rates and free shipping thresholds may apply for islands, Switzerland, other European countries and worldwide deliveries.

For orders outside the EU and Switzerland, customs duties, import taxes or local charges may apply. These costs are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in our shipping prices.

Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and in your order confirmation. During peak periods, holidays or major football events, delivery may take longer than usual, so please allow extra time for your order to arrive.

How long does a personalised shirt take?

Personalised shirts usually take 1 additional working day before dispatch. After the shirt has been pressed, we let it rest for 24 hours before handing it over to the shipping provider.

We do this to protect the player print and reduce the risk of damage during packing and shipping. Once your personalised shirt leaves our warehouse, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link.

Your estimated delivery date will be shown at checkout and in your order confirmation. During peak periods, holidays or major football events, processing and delivery may take slightly longer than usual.

How do I get free shipping on FBS orders?

Free shipping is available in selected regions once your order reaches the required minimum spend. The exact threshold depends on your delivery country and will be shown at checkout before you place your order.

For Germany, free standard shipping is available for orders over €100. For most EU countries, free standard international shipping is available for orders over €200. Some islands, remote regions and international destinations may have different thresholds or may not qualify for free shipping.

Gift vouchers do not count towards free shipping thresholds. Free shipping thresholds may also vary during promotional campaigns, so the shipping information shown at checkout is always the most accurate for your order.

Can I ship my order internationally?

Yes, FBS ships worldwide. The available shipping options, costs and estimated delivery times depend on your delivery country and will be shown at checkout before you place your order.

For deliveries within the EU, there are no additional customs duties and EU VAT is charged at checkout. For Switzerland, shipping and customs clearance are handled through our partner, so no additional customs duties should apply.

For deliveries outside the EU and Switzerland, import duties, taxes or local charges may apply. These costs are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in our shipping prices. They cannot be refunded by FBS.

Once your order leaves our warehouse, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link. International delivery times may vary depending on your destination country, customs processing and local delivery providers.

Orders & Payment

Find quick answers about placing orders, changing your order, payment options and checking your order status. Here’s what you need to know before and after checkout.

Where is my FBS order?

Your order status is available anytime in your FOOTBALLSHIRTS.com customer account. Log in with the email address you used for your order to see your current order details and status.

Once your order has left our warehouse, you’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link. You can use this link to follow your parcel and check the latest delivery updates from the shipping provider.

Orders are usually processed within 2 working days before being handed over to the shipping provider. Personalised shirts may take 1 additional working day, as we let the shirt rest for 24 hours after pressing to protect the print.

If your order has shipped but the tracking has not updated yet, please allow a little extra time. Tracking information can sometimes take a few hours to appear after the parcel has been handed over.

Can I cancel or change my FBS order?

Yes, you can cancel or change your FBS order as long as it has not been shipped yet. Once you have received your shipping confirmation, your order has already left our warehouse and can no longer be cancelled or changed.

To request a cancellation or change, please contact us through our contact form as soon as possible. Include your order number, full name and billing or shipping address so we can find your order quickly.

For security reasons, your message must be sent from the same email address used for the order. This helps us make sure that only the person who placed the order can request changes.

Please note that changes are not guaranteed. If your order is already being processed, packed or handed over to the shipping provider, we may no longer be able to make changes before dispatch. For personalised shirts, changes may also no longer be possible once the printing process has started.

What are FBS's payment options?

FBS offers all major payment methods through Shopify’s secure checkout. The payment options available for your order may vary depending on your delivery country, device and payment provider.

At checkout, you may be able to pay by credit or debit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other local payment methods where available. The exact payment methods for your order will be shown clearly before you complete your purchase.

All payments are processed securely through Shopify and our payment partners. FBS does not store your full payment details.

If a payment method is not shown at checkout, it is currently not available for your order. In that case, please choose one of the other available payment options.

Why Can't I complete my FBS order?

We want checkout to be fast and secure. If you can’t complete your FBS order, it is usually because Shopify could not verify part of your checkout information or something in your cart changed before the order was completed.

This can happen if your shipping address, billing address or payment details are incomplete or entered differently than expected by your bank or payment provider. Please check that your name, address, postcode, country, phone number and payment details are correct.

An order may also fail if we are unable to ship to the selected delivery address, if a product in your cart has sold out before checkout was completed, or if a discount code is not valid for one or more items in your cart. Some payment methods may also be unavailable depending on your country, device or payment provider.

If checkout still does not work, try refreshing the page, removing and re-adding the item to your cart, using a different payment method, or completing your order in another browser or device. If the issue continues, contact us with a screenshot of the error message and the email address used at checkout so we can help you check what happened.

How do I use my FBS Gift Card?

You can use your FBS gift card at checkout. Enter your gift card code in the gift card or discount field before completing your order, and the available balance will be applied to your purchase.

If the gift card does not cover the full order amount, you can pay the remaining balance with one of the available payment methods shown at checkout. If your order total is lower than the gift card balance, the remaining amount will stay on the gift card and can be used for a future order.

Please make sure the code is entered exactly as shown, including any letters, numbers or special characters. If your gift card is not accepted, check whether the code has already been used, whether there is still balance available, and whether it was entered correctly.

Gift cards are not included in free shipping thresholds and cannot usually be returned or refunded. The exact available payment and redemption options will always be shown at checkout.

How do I use a FBS Promo Code?

You can use your FBS promo code at checkout. Enter the code in the discount or promo code field before completing your order, and the discount will be applied if the code is valid for your cart.

Please make sure the code is entered exactly as shown. Promo codes may be limited to selected products, collections, countries, customer groups or order values. They may also have an expiry date or may not be combinable with other discounts.

If your promo code does not work, check whether the items in your cart are eligible, whether the minimum order value has been reached and whether the code has already expired. If the code is still not accepted, try refreshing checkout or contact us with the promo code and a screenshot of the error message.

How does FBS calculate Sales Tax?

Sales tax is calculated automatically at checkout based on your delivery country, the products in your order and the tax rules that apply at the time of purchase.

For orders within the EU, VAT is included or shown during checkout according to the applicable EU tax rules. For deliveries outside the EU, import duties, customs fees or local taxes may apply and are usually charged by the carrier or local authorities. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not collected by FBS unless clearly shown at checkout.

You’ll see the taxes and charges handled by FBS before you complete your order. We do not currently accept tax-exempt orders.

How do I use Klarna for my FBS order?

You can use Klarna at checkout if it is available for your order. Select Klarna as your payment method, then follow the steps shown by Klarna to complete your payment securely.

Klarna availability may depend on your delivery country, order value and Klarna's approval process. If Klarna is not shown at checkout, it is currently not available for your order, and you’ll need to choose another payment method.

Learn how we grade used football shirts, what each condition means and why we only sell items that meet our quality standards. Here’s what to know before buying pre-owned or vintage shirts.

What shirt conditions do you offer?

We offer shirt conditions from Brand New to 6/10 Good. Every item is checked, graded and described so you know what to expect before you buy.

Brand New means the shirt is unused and usually comes with its original tags. Due to storage, manufacturer handling, retail buy-ins or store returns, tags may sometimes be missing or only partially attached, but this does not automatically reduce the product grade if the shirt itself is still unused and in brand-new condition. Like New items show little to no signs of wear. Higher used condition grades may show only minor signs of use, while lower accepted grades can include visible wear, small marks or age-related details.

We do not sell shirts rated below 6/10. Our goal is that every shirt still looks good, feels wearable and properly represents the brand, team and player behind it.

Because many football shirts are vintage, pre-owned or part of private collections, small signs of age or storage can occur. We always try to describe relevant flaws clearly on the product page.

What do FBS shirt conditions mean?

FBS uses a clear condition scale from Brand New to 6/10 Good. Every shirt is checked and graded based on visible wear, previous use, storage condition and overall appearance.

Brand New means the shirt is new from a manufacturer or official retailer and shows no signs of wear. Due to storage, manufacturer handling, retail buy-ins or store returns, tags may sometimes be missing or only partially attached, but this does not automatically reduce the product grade if the shirt itself is still unused and in brand-new condition.

10/10 As New means the shirt shows no signs of wear, but comes from a private source or has no fully verifiable retail background.

9/10 Excellent means the shirt has very small signs of wear that do not affect the overall impression.

8/10 Great means the shirt has small signs of wear caused by normal use as clothing.

7/10 Very Good means the shirt has visible signs of wear from use as clothing, and those signs can be seen when worn.

6/10 Good means the shirt has clear signs of wear from use as clothing, those signs are visible when worn and they affect the overall appearance.

We do not sell shirts rated below 6/10, because every item on FBS should still be wearable, collectible and properly represent the brand, team and player behind it.

How does FBS grade shirt conditions?

Every shirt on FBS is checked and graded before it goes online. We look at the full condition of the item, including fabric, prints, crests, name sets, labels, marks, pulls, bobbling, fading, cracking and other visible signs of use or age.

We also consider the age of the shirt when grading its condition. A recent shirt is judged more strictly than a vintage or retro item, because signs of age, storage and material wear are more expected on older shirts. As a guide, we assess shirts across age ranges such as 0–3 years, 4–7 years, 8–15 years, 16–25 years and 25+ years.

Higher grades mean the shirt has little to no visible wear and keeps a strong overall appearance for its age. Lower accepted grades may show clearer signs of use, such as visible marks, print wear, cracking, pulls, fading or small fabric flaws — but every shirt we sell must still be wearable, collectible and meet our minimum quality standard.

Brand New shirts are unused and show no signs of wear. 10/10 As New shirts also show no signs of wear, but may come from a private source or without a fully verifiable retail background.

A 9/10 Excellent shirt may show only very small, barely noticeable signs of wear, such as light wear to printed details, very faint marks, light pulls or light bobbling. These details do not affect the overall look of the shirt.

An 8/10 Great shirt may show small signs of use, such as minor wear to sponsors, name sets or crests, light cracking, small faint marks, light material wear, subtle fading or barely noticeable pinholes outside the central front area. These signs are visible on closer inspection but the shirt still has a strong overall appearance.

A 7/10 Very Good shirt shows clearer signs of wear from being used as clothing. This can include minor cracking, visible wear to prints, faint marks, larger pulls, some peeling, small holes or material catches. These details can be visible when worn, but the shirt remains wearable and collectible.

A 6/10 Good shirt shows more noticeable wear that affects the overall impression of the item. This may include heavier wear to sponsor prints, name sets or crests, cracking, visible marks, fading, larger pulls, noticeable peeling, material catches, holes or missing/worn size details. We still only sell shirts in this condition if they meet our minimum quality standard.

Please note: Many football shirts are vintage, pre-owned, sourced from collections or stored over long periods of time. Small differences in condition can occur, and grading always reflects our best assessment of the shirt at the time it is checked. We do our best to describe visible flaws clearly, but minor signs of age, storage or handling may still be present.

We do not sell shirts rated below 6/10. If a shirt does not meet our resale standard, we do not list it on FBS. Instead, selected items may be made available to artists, creatives or project-based initiatives.

An always keep in mind: it's just a football shirt, made to be touched, loved an most importantly worn. So have fun representing your team.

Can a brand-new shirt arrive without the original hangtag or packaging?

In rare cases, a brand-new shirt may arrive without the original manufacturer hangtag or official packaging. This can happen due to handling, storage, retail buy-ins, store returns or because the packaging was removed by us for product photos or player name and number printing.

If the original hangtag is missing, the item may be provided with a replacement hangtag containing the essential product details. This does not automatically reduce the product grade, as long as the shirt itself is unused, unworn and in brand-new condition.

When original packaging is removed, we always make sure the item is repacked carefully and protected properly for shipping. If you need more information about a specific item before ordering, our support team will be happy to help.

Why don’t you sell shirts rated below 6/10?

We don’t sell shirts rated below 6/10 because we believe every shirt should still properly represent the brand, the team and the player behind it. Even pre-owned or vintage football shirts should meet a standard that makes them wearable, collectible and worth owning.

Shirts below 6/10 may show stronger wear, damage, heavy storage marks, manufacturer flaws or other issues that no longer meet our resale standard. We want customers to feel confident that every shirt listed on FBS has been checked and is still in a condition we are comfortable selling.

That does not mean these shirts are thrown away. When possible, we make selected shirts below 6/10 available to artists, creatives and project-based initiatives, so they can be reused instead of wasted.

What happens to shirts rated below 6/10?

Shirts rated below 6/10 are not sold on FBS. This can happen when a shirt has stronger signs of wear, storage marks, manufacturer flaws or other issues that do not meet our resale standard.

We still believe these shirts can have value. Instead of throwing them away or reducing the shopping experience on FBS, we make selected items available to artists, creatives and project-based initiatives that can give them a second life.

If you have a creative idea or project and would like to work with these shirts, you can contact us and apply to receive part of this stock. Please include a short description of your idea, what you would like to create and how the shirts would be used.

Sell a Shirt

Want to sell a football shirt to FBS? Here’s how our buying process works, how we review your item and what to expect before payout.

Do you offer upfront payment?

No, we don’t offer upfront payment before we receive the shirt.

Before you send your item to us, we may provide a non-binding estimated offer based on the information, photos and condition details you share with us. This estimate helps you understand the potential purchase price in advance, but the final offer can only be confirmed after the shirt has arrived and has been checked by our team.

Once we receive your shirt, we verify the item, check its authenticity, inspect the condition and compare it with the description you provided. If everything matches, we’ll confirm the agreed offer and pay you through the selected payment method.

If the actual condition is different from the description, we may send you an adjusted counteroffer. You can then decide whether to accept it or have the shirt returned to you.

Payout is only made after the item has been received, reviewed and accepted by FBS. This protects both sides and helps us keep the buying process fair, accurate and secure.

How long does payout take?

After your shirt has arrived at FBS, our team usually needs 2–4 business days to check the item. During this review, we verify the shirt, inspect its condition and compare it with the description and photos you provided.

If everything matches, we’ll confirm the offer and start the payout process through the agreed payment method. Depending on the payment method and your bank or provider, the money can then take 1–10 days to arrive.

In some cases, payout may take longer if we need additional information, if the condition differs from your description, if a counteroffer is required, or if payment details are incomplete or incorrect.

We’ll contact you once your item has been reviewed and let you know the next steps.

Why do you list the shirt for more than you paid?

We understand why this question comes up. The price we pay for a shirt is only one part of the final selling price.

As a retailer, we also have to cover costs such as VAT, payment fees, platform fees, verification, product handling, photography, storage, packaging, customer support, returns, shipping processes and general operations. Some shirts also need cleaning, preparation or additional quality checks before they can be listed.

The final price also reflects demand, rarity, condition, size, season, player printing and current market value. A rare shirt in a popular size or with a sought-after player print may be priced differently from a more common item.

After all costs, only a small margin remains. That margin helps us keep improving FBS, source more shirts, offer better service and make the buying and selling process better for everyone.

Who can I contact about press enquiries?

For press enquiries about FBS, please contact us through our contact form. Include your name, publication or company, contact details and a short description of your request.

Once we receive your message, we’ll forward it internally to the right person or department. This helps us make sure your enquiry reaches the team member best suited to respond.

Please note that response times may vary depending on the type of request and current workload. For urgent media enquiries, please make that clear in your message.

I’m a manufacturer and want to sell shirts to FBS. Who should I contact?

Please contact us through our contact form and include a short overview of your company, the products you offer and the quantities available. If relevant, please also include information about brands, teams, seasons, sizes, condition and whether the items are current stock, past-season stock or special lots.

FBS only buys items from professional football teams and only works wholesale with official retailers, distributors and manufacturers. We do not purchase unofficial, counterfeit or unlicensed products.

Once we receive your request, we’ll review it internally and forward it to the right person if it matches our buying requirements. Please note that we may not be able to respond to offers that do not fit our current product focus.

I’m a reseller and want to buy larger quantities from FBS. Who should I contact?

FBS is primarily built for individual customers and collectors. At this time, we do not sell to business customers, resellers or wholesale buyers.

Our stock is curated for direct sale through FootballShirts.com, and many items are limited in quantity, vintage, pre-owned or difficult to source. Because of this, we do not currently offer bulk purchasing, reseller pricing or wholesale accounts.

If this changes in the future, we’ll share more information through our official channels.
