The adidas Spain 2018 Home Shirt accompanied one of the most painful exits in La Roja's recent history, worn by a squad that looked capable of winning a second World Cup title and fell to the hosts on penalties in the round of 16. The design reaches back to 1994, reviving the diamond graphic in red, yellow and blue that runs vertically down the right side of the shirt, a direct nod to the kit Spain wore in that summer's quarter-final against Italy. Andrés Iniesta played his final World Cup in it; Gerard Piqué wore it for his 100th international cap against Iran, before announcing his international retirement weeks after the tournament ended.
