Club Atlético River Plate

was created in 1901 when two teams, Santa Rosa and La Rosales, joined together. It is one of the top football clubs in South America. At first, they shared the La Boca neighborhood with their main rival, Boca Juniors, but they were known for their unique style of play called "la nuestra," which focused on smooth passing rather than strong physical play. The name "River Plate" is said to have come from a sign they saw on some boxes in a nearby factory area.

The 1930s and 40s saw the club rise to dominance, earning the nickname "Los Millonarios" due to expensive player transfers, such as the record-breaking purchase of Bernabé Ferreyra. This era was also defined by "La Máquina" (The Machine), a legendary attacking line that led the team to multiple titles in the 1940s. In 1938, the club moved into its iconic home, El Monumental, which remains its stadium today.

River Plate has a rich history of big successes, including a special treble in 1986 where they won the league, the Copa Libertadores, and the Intercontinental Cup.
Even though they were dropped from the top division in 2011, they quickly came back and once again became one of the best teams in the country. Wearing the club's famous white shirt with the red diagonal stripe is a way to show pride in a legacy of style and strong determination in Argentine football.

adidas

Before the modern kit industry existed, there was adidas. Founded in 1949 by Adolf "Adi" Dassler in Herzogenaurach, Germany, adidas built its football legacy from the ground up — starting with a boot innovation that changed the game forever. Today, the Three Stripes are worn by the clubs that make headlines, the nations that make history, and the players who make it unforgettable.
