The adidas LAFC 2024 Third Shirt poses a question that is more fun than it sounds: what if LAFC had existed in Los Angeles in the 1970s? Part of the MLS Archive Collection, the answer arrives in a linen base layered with earth-tone browns and mustard accents drawn from the visual feast of browns, tans, beiges and bronzes that define LA's light as it shifts from morning to dusk along Sunset Boulevard. "Los Angeles" runs across the chest in a retro Seventies font, replacing the usual sponsor, while the original MLS crest from 1996, the league's inaugural season, is embroidered on the back of the neck.

The shirt accompanied one of LAFC's most complete seasons: the club won their first U.S. Open Cup and reached the Leagues Cup final. Denis Bouanga was the engine throughout, scoring 20 goals for the second consecutive season and leading all MLS players in completed dribbles, while Hugo Lloris kept the joint-most clean sheets of any goalkeeper in the league.
